Geelong Small Business Festival – August 2013July 30, 2013
The Geelong Small Business Festival provides businesses with an opportunity to learn new skills and brush up on technical expertise. The Geelong Small Business Festival, part of the broader highly successful Victoria’s Small Business Festivall, proudly supports the local business community by providing this series of events in August 2013.
There are over 40 information sessions, events and networking opportunities on offer at either no or minimal cost. You can pick and choose any number of events that will assist you with your business. Event topics include human resource management, social media and marketing, recruiting and retaining staff, leadership, buying and selling a business and how to develop and grow your business. The festival also offers plenty of opportunities for you to network with others.
From Passion to Profit – this event is a one day power conference supported by the Geelong Chamber of Commerce. This event looks at the challenges faced by small businesses moving from an entrepreneurial idea to a sustainable business. This is the fifth annual From Passion to Profit program and is bound to be not only inspirational and informative but a great way to network and have a day out with other Geelong business people. HR4Business is a proud sponsor of this event.
Fundamental Workplace Obligations – This session is HR4Business’s own hosted event which provides practical tools and techniques for employers to enable effective management of employee performance and an overview of information on how to meet the minimum obligations of the National Employment Standards (NES) and Victorian Equal Opportunity Act 2010.
