It is extremely important employer have all aspects of employment paperwork in order. In particular at this time of the year the Fair Work Commission announces the increase to the National Minimum Wage which flows onto all modern awards. Effective the first full pay period after the 1st July, 2015 an increase of 2.5% applies. Where a employee is covered by an Award however is paid above the Award for their classification, the employer may absorb the 2.5% increase.
